This was the source of feng shui in the West, and still best

This book puts feng shui into its original landscape setting by someone who learnt it in 1976 before it all became a subset of interior decorating. This is still the clearest book in print. Read it with Lillian Too and Derek Walters and Eva Wong, and you have the real feng shui

one of the original source books, with in depth details

Really well ordered book on a very complex subject, by someone who has studied in HK, Singapore under masters, and read texts in the original Chinese and applied knowlege. This book was first written in 1976, before all the ho ha about feng shui and contains material that still has not been grasped by later writers. A great reference book for people who are serious about feng shui!

Interesting and illuminating book for some

This book is either enlightening or disappointing depending on one's reason for buying it. If you're simply looking for a way to use the modern "art" of Feng-Shui" to properly position your toilet or arrange the furniture in your bedroom, you might be disappointed. However, if you're looking for a readable and illuminating introduction to the ancient "science" of Feng-Shui, this is the book for you!
If you wish to practice the modern "art", I suggest that you pick up one of Skinner's other books on the subject, such as this one :
