No More a hit/don't hit binary, plus damage. Combat now rocks.

Too often I see combat being run with just a hit/don't hit binary, plus damage. These cards has change and improved that greatly. Our Combats Scenes now rocks. I highly recommend these cards

Intuitive and Easy to Use

Combat Description Cards are ingeniously set up and easy to use. The cards divide themselves into three types of damage: Piercing, Blunt, and Slash. Each type is then broken down into one of three attack styles: Finesse, Power, and Range. Each style has a clear readable one-word Action-Word (eg. For a Blunt attack, it's Impressive for Finesse, Batter for Power, and Thump for Range) with its description. The first half of the description describes the successful attack by the hero, and option second the vanquishing of the foe! The deck consists of 120 tarot-sized cards. Pretty obviously,
you'll want to use these cards if your games involve combat.
Combat Description Cards is available on RPGNow as a PDF, Amazon in deck format, and the publisher's website for both. The cards will also be available as an app in the future.

Fair but not 700+ decriptions

The descriptions are fine for inspiration on a generic combat turn, or if you are stuck, I don't think I would ever use them as written on the card. Will they help run a more descriptive combat in game? Probably but it is unlikely it will speed it up a great deal if you are using descriptions now and just want to add more flavor. If you are just rolling they will clearly slow it down as you are adding additional narrative.
I think the best use for the cards is to use them before game to come up with cool descriptive combat, that you can read off of your game notes not trying to use the cards in game. They do help to get you thinking and add some combat depth.
The box say 120 cards and 700+ descriptions. Each card contains 6 descriptions 3 normal and 3 finishing or death descriptions. How ever each of the 3 category piercing, slashing, and blunt only contained 38 cards not 40. This gives you 38 X 3 =114 or 114 description cards, the remaining 6 are 1 rule card and 5 advertisement cards. And 700+ descriptions drops to 114 X 6 = 684 NOT 700+.
